Problem Definition
Benefic is a people-centric nutrition brand focused on enhancing health through convenient, enjoyable products. Their aim is to close nutritional gaps in India with natural, affordable options for the middle and upper-middle class. Products like the “Sweet Family” sugar replacer are designed to make healthier choices simple and appealing. They approached us at the very start — even before their first product launch — to design and build an online store that would serve as both a sales platform and a brand introduction. The challenge was to create an experience that felt established and credible, while being optimised for performance from day one.
Our Process
1. Understanding Their Needs - Worked closely with the founding team to clarify goals, product positioning, and long-term e-commerce requirements.
2. Market Immersion - Studied the nutraceutical market in India and global health brands to understand competitor approaches and consumer expectations.
3. Information Architecture - Created a scalable e-commerce structure, categorising products by type and by health benefit for intuitive browsing.
4. Visual Asset Development - Developed concept visuals, lifestyle imagery, and product presentation ideas that communicated both quality and accessibility.
5. Homepage as Brand & Storefront - Designed a homepage that immediately communicates “shop” while introducing Benefic’s story and mission — ensuring the brand narrative sits naturally within an e-commerce flow.
6. Product Page Differentiation - Designed benefit-led product pages with a graphical ingredient breakdown showing each component’s role and health benefit. This created transparency and helped customers make informed decisions, setting Benefic apart from competitors.
7. Blog Integration for Credibility - Added a blog section and linked relevant articles to each product page to reinforce credibility with educational, expert-led content.
8. Technical Integration - Built the product inventory backend, integrated secure payment gateways, optimised for mobile, and added WhatsApp support so customers could easily connect with the brand.
9. Launch and Delivery - Delivered a fully functional online store capable of processing orders and shipping nationwide from day one.
